About Granite
The phrase "hard as a rock" may well have been created with Granite in mind. Formed over millions of years from compressed molten rock under the Earth's surface, Granite is one of the hardest and most durable natural substances known to man.
It has heat-resistant qualities and is also unlikely to scratch or chip. When used for kitchen worktops, it is far superior to synthetic, laminate or wood. It is also much more beautiful and has a luminous, three dimensional quality when polished.
All of our worktops are cut on a bespoke basis from whole granite slabs, which can range in size from 2m2 to 6m2. This means that you can be assured of a consistency in the quality of the stone as we will cut it all from the same slab. With larger projects, if more than one is required we will buy sister slabs, so the colour and pattern is maintained throughout. We can even arrange for you to go to one of the yards that we work with and hand pick the granite slab (s) that you want us to cut your worktops from.
In terms of colour, the choice is almost endless. Whether you want simple colours that compliment or vibrant patterns that make a statement, granite offers something for everyone. Some of the more popular granite colours are shown below but we can source any colour granite that you want.
We also stock a range of granite tiles which can be an ideal choice for the busy areas in your home such as the kitchen and bathroom.
